Nun mal ein CD-Tipp

Hi,
hoffe, ich darf hier ausnahmsweise auch mal ein CD Tipp zum Thema Amerika posten.

Wo ich gerade von Iced Earth geredet habe, dachte ich, ich könnte euch das Album "The Glorious Burden" mal ans Herz legen. Dieses Album dreht sich sowohl um die Terroranschläge, als auch um die Geschichte Amerikas. Der Frontman von Iced Earth, Jon Schaffer, ist sehr patriotisch, und so war es nicht verwunderlich, dass solch ein Album kommen wird.
Ich habe mal im anderen Forum das Video von dem auf dem Album befindlichen Song "When the eagle cries" hineingestellt, es gab nur positives Feedback.

Naja, ist halt Metal, aber es hat viel mit Amerika zu tun (dieses Album), es ist patriotisch und ein musikalisches Meisterwerk (allein schon weil da der ehemalige Sänger von Judas Priest, Tim Owens, singt), und so wollte ich es euch nicht vorenthalten.

Ach ja, hier die Lyrics von The Reckoning, ich vermute, dass dieser Song an die Terroristen gerichtet ist:

"Don't tread on me" ist uebrigens das urspruengliche Motto der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, wie es auch eine der ersten offiziellen Flaggen zierte:

Das Motto existierte bereits vorher, wurde aber von Benjamin Franklin zum Motto der amerikanischen Revolution gemacht und von Christopher Gadsden dann als Flagge verewigt.

Die amerikanische Marine hat dann eine etwas veraenderte Form als Jack uebernommen, als Bugflagge:

Eine Zeit lang war diese Flagge aus der Mode gekommen, aber mit Beginn unseres Krieges gegen die Moslemterroristen hat auf Order von Minister Rumsfeld die Marine nun wieder begonnen, den "rattlesnake Jack" wehen zu lassen.
