Hier kannst (vielleicht) etwas zuschauen: Germans in America
http://www.goethe.de/mmo/priv/1577590-STANDARD.jpg In a four-part television series, Germans in America recounts the story of German immigrants to the United States, using gripping stories about naive settlers and successful farmers, about devout free-thinkers and political refugees, about the heyday of the German-language press in America, and about the founders of industrial dynasties in the new homeland.
This series was originally broadcast in Europe in German and French versions on ARTE and WDR. Thanks to generous support from the German Information Center USA, South Carolina ETV will release the English-language version in Spring 2008 via NETA, the National Educational Telecommunications Association.
The series will be launched at the annual NETA conference in Columbus, Ohio, January 22-25, 2008.
